Today or Tomorrow?

05:54 Jul 28 2008
Times Read: 863

"Who cares about tomorrow when we have today?

Why serve in Heaven when you can rule in Hell?"

The preceding are two trains of thoughts, the essences of which breaks down the mind and destroys the soul.

We are only guaranteed two things and that's today and that today will end. However, we are not guaranteed tomorrow won't come.

Being short sighted means you have no future. In economic terms being short sighted means that you'll make a lot of money one week and the next you're in debt twice that of what you made.

I understand not giving to much power to the future and I understand not wasting the day, but this day will end. And when the Suns sets what will you have? For you perhaps not, but for the majority the Sun will rise again.

Would you have squandered everything on cheap thrills and pointless emotional garbage? Did you live a day filled with fast drugs, sexy women and liquid cash, to wake to a hangover of brokenness?

You know there is a reason we have hangovers. They teach us to have fun, but moderate, because the morning will come.

It is foolish to ignore the potential of the next day and it is stupid to not plan this day in order to better tomorrow.

Turn on the news and watch as young men get killed for $3 in weed or as a guy blows the head off a new father just because he gave him a funny look. "Well we gotta live for today." True but you also have to wake up to tomorrow.

I have found that those with the mindset of the now and immediate to be the most unstable, uneducated and worthless bits of flesh on earth. Why? Because their life, the lives of their family and this world does have a tomorrow.

Wake up and stop acting like children those of you in gangs or who use illegal drugs or take Satanism to seriously. There is a tomorrow and you must live in it.

"I'd rather reign in Hell than serve in Heaven."

That has got to be the most idiotic saying I've ever heard or read.

So you are going to spend your life here on earth doing whatever you want so that when you die you can spend an eternity in Hell with your "Master." And what is he going to reward you with? Eternal life in the flames of Hell? Sounds romantic but romance is temporary and is nothing but an illusion. What do you think is going to happen after the honeymoon with dear 'ol Lucifer? Do you actually think he's going to give you, a pathetic human, any control? You a worthless piece of bone and blood are going to be rewarded for getting a piercing and taking a hit of crack off a cig? To think he actually needs or wants you is psychotic.

Can you not think any clearer than that? Can you find no better value in yourself? Self-delusion is the greatest of all tricks, and you made it yourself.

"So what your gonna be happy serving a God who kills millions and thinks gays are bad?" For one your little devil has killed far more after all his biggest prizes are the lil emo-satanist punks who thinks they're expressing their pain haha.

My God never killed anyone, we killed ourselves through our own actions. God does not think gays are bad, those are just the words of angry men who are jealous that they've never been able to have sex with an 18 year old hottie in tight jeans.

You see we Christians get to sit at the right hand of the Father and rule the universe with him. We actually do get kingdoms and we don't have to serve anyone. Our joy is to be with that which created all things. We are made in the image and likeness of him and he is our Father. I'd be more than happy to walk on streets of gold and have all the bad in my life washed away just for following him and being a good person on this temporal earth.

It doesn't matter if you believe in life after death just like it doesn't matter if you think Jupiter makes you do things. Truth does not bend to belief.

There is life after death and life on this tiny planet is short so make sure you keep an eye open to the future.

Truth does not change and Jupiter is little more than a ball of glowing gas.

Think of things that have real sustaining value and purpose. Do not give in to something that will be over in just a few seconds or even years.

Some Thoughts

06:32 Jul 23 2008
Times Read: 913

I beg you think and ask...

When did we become a self-loathing society?

When did it become a bad thing to stand up for family?

When did it become a bad thing to be born poor, work hard and die rich?

When did it become wrong to build companies that hire thousands and millions of people?

When did it become wrong to support your country even though the current government may not be the best?

When did it become evil to have morals?

When did it become outdated to use your mind and have an education?

When did we stop caring about the beauty of culture and traded it in for slang and abuse?

When did we stop caring for each other?

When did we forget our true history?

When did instant gratification become more important than permanent freedoms and joy?

When did we become so ignorant as to give up our rights to subdue irrational fears?

Why can't we take a hard line and say this is right and this is wrong when so many die in the name of undue compromise?

Why is it so hard to learn for yourself instead of blindly obeying?

When did children begin to have greater rights over the parents?

When did parents get the right to overturn nature?

When did government forget it's powers come from the people?

When did men become weak?

When did women become careless?

What happened to the promise of self-determination?

How did we confuse total democracy with liberty?

How is it that entire races of people trample on the rights God gave them for temporary money and fame?

What happened to the lessons our Ancestors taught us?

Why does the cheap take the place of eternal wisdom?

And why do so few care about these question?

When did we become a self-loathing society?

1782

When did it become a bad thing to stand up for family?

Whenever your family did something wrong.

When did it become a bad thing to be born poor, work hard and die rich?

Medieval Europe.

When did it become wrong to build companies that hire thousands and millions of people?

1920s, monopolies were outlawed(essentially).

When did it become wrong to support your country even though the current government may not be the best?

Same as the family question: when your country does something wrong.

When did it become evil to have morals?

The dawn of society.

When did it become outdated to use your mind and have an education?

Check your watch.

When did we stop caring about the beauty of culture and traded it in for slang and abuse?

Slang is an inherent part of culture. Deal with it. Everything is abused, Marilyn Manson AND The Eurythmics said so.

When did we stop caring for each other?

Don't group me in with the masses(says the masses).

When did we forget our true history?

When someone wrote something down that contradicted it. "History is in the hands of those who write the history books."

When did instant gratification become more important than permanent freedoms and joy?

Since the average life expectancy was validated.

When did we become so ignorant as to give up our rights to subdue irrational fears?

Look up ignorant.

Why can't we take a hard line and say this is right and this is wrong when so many die in the name of undue compromise?

The eternal gray area.

Why is it so hard to learn for yourself instead of blindly obeying?

Is this in the same line of questioning? It seems to support what you don't seem to[support](damn preposition).

When did children begin to have greater rights over the parents?

Since we all became convinced that they are our future.

Children didn't choose to have parents. Parents chose to have children. Civil Rights Movement.

When did parents get the right to overturn nature?

Since society made it optional.

When did government forget it's powers come from the people?

it's → its, firstly.

It didn't forget. The people running it just like to push the envelope.

When did men become weak?

Medicine abuse.

When did women become careless?

Medicine abuse.

What happened to the promise of self-determination?

The speaker died.

How did we confuse total democracy with liberty?

Popular sovereignty. Look it up, it is actually quite recursive.

How is it that entire races of people trample on the rights God gave them for temporary money and fame?

God gave who what? When? Your god is far too busy tending to his promised than to bother with giving things to you.

What happened to the lessons our ancestors taught us?

Goes along with the history question.

Why does the cheap take the place of eternal wisdom?

Goes along with the instant gratification question.

And why do so few care about these question?

There are FAR too many.

From what I've seen it's when counter culter became the norm. Once people viewed the idea of a Yuppy as selling your soul, we lost what we are striving for.

Instead of balance we've looked at life in extremes. Personally I look at it as teenagers who never matured to the point of understanding that just because you work hard- you are not a sell out.

Most would agree we need change, but while we numb ourselves with the "have it now" ideal of consumerism, we are too weak to move.

It seems that society always thinks it's right yet it still never happy and always looks for an Utopia. But Utopia can never happen.

Things change yet History repeats itself.

The media one of the bigger influences and people let it influence them.

I'd also ask, why it became more important to be beautiful then to be intelligent?

Why it became more important to pass from exams then to think with your own mind?

Why it became more important to have the latest cool virtual game instead of using your imagination?

And I would repeat other questions that I asked in my Journal, like how it becamse more important for parents to have the best villa and car in town instead of buying what is really neened.

Or why do they strive so much for that stufft hen they have no time for the kids and then panic when they have to pay the bills?

Yeah there are so many questions to ask in this filthy society.

Sure they may be hiding something, just like you hide things from your parents, boyfriends etc. Anytime a person uses that line they are admitting their total ignorance.

If you know they're hiding stuff then why don't you know what it is? "Oh because the stuff is hidden away." Blah, some of you guys really make me sick :)

At least use your mind and a clear train of thought (with references) when you post in the forum.

The Belief, and opinion is prized over creative ideas, and imagination. If you say you could image that the government is hiding something from us.. then it would be a good start to a book, yet then one would not be able to plagerize popular media, and fad conspiracy. Yet placing everything under the sacredness of belief or opinion, that is a key to laziness in interacting. So what lacks in creativity.. ends with.. "That is my belief.." translated.. "That is the last popular presentation I have seen, or heard, from someone else."(never mind that that person lacks any support for their presented claim)

Ok guys before reading take a breath and focus! :) I'm a little scared to get more detailed than this because, well, VR doesn't support vast equations ;) So yes it may be overly simplified.

The vast majority of dreams are little more than your mind processing information, thinking for itself and making you drool.

However some dreams are more than that. They let you know somethings wrong or gives you knowledge you never knew before. These dreams enter the realm of new sciences.

Science can explain everything be it God, dreams, thought, magic or why your dog just pooped. There is nothing out of the reach of science, for in the end, it is everything.

Matter is made up of tiny bits of energy gathered in little bundles and they vibrate and give off energies. The mind is made of what...matter.

Thought is a process of chemical reactions and energy transfers.

When a person sleeps their conscious mind goes to sleep but the sub-conscious takes over. It is this part of the brain that gives us intuition, non-verbal communication etc.

Due to quantum entanglement (all matter and energy is connected at the same time) and the nature of time at the level of thought (physical size of thought) wonderful things can happen.

Dreams can allow our mind to, in a sense, tune into the ambient energies of the universe, which contains the thoughts of others. This also explains how people can have the same dream at the same time.

Sometimes our mind pops into a region of space with physical entities and a near one-way conversation can happen. They're mostly one way because our minds are still very undeveloped.

Other times we get to enter the realm of the gods (spirits, demons, angels etc)

At the level of thought, time (past, present and future) basically happens at the same time. Due to this various dimensions become open to entry (only entry of thought not the body).

In the same light as interdimensional movement and communication you can also end up knowing the past or future. Why? Because ALL time happens at the SAME time.

So through these scenarios we can understand how many of these "dreams" happen. It's all science and it's all possible.

I hope I made some sense, I'm rather tired.

I thought it was worthy to come join the rest of my insanity :)

Current US Economy 101

God how hard is it to understand our energy crisis is sooo freaking easy to fix. We have $1 TRILLION in investments for clean coal and co2 sequestration. We only have 1 plant thats barely operational under these new laws. Why? Because of the g*damn red tape.

We can be energy independent and not release a single molecule of green house gases now.

Theres more shale and coal-to-oil than in the whole bloody Middle East...HERE.

"We have to save the earth." Bullsh*t! Of all the oil leaked into the ocean only 1% comes from drilling...52%+ comes from natural leakage.

"We have to bail out the people with sub-prime mortgages" Bullsh*t! It is not the role of the American public to spend (in other words be taxed) nearly a trillion dollars, already, to save people who couldn't afford a friggin house.

If you can't pay with cash don't bloody get it!

Do you know how we make money?

The federal government requests the Federal Reserve (which is a PRIVATE company and not part of the gov.) to give the government a loan.

Once the loan is approved we make cash, out of thin air.

Do you know where your income tax dollars go? To just pay the interest on the loan to make the money you just spent.

"Well we can't go back to gold" Your right, there not enough mined gold in the world to cover the $400 trillion dollars or so that we have floating around.

So what do we do? Stop printing money out of thin air, back it with gold, silver, land, oil/gas/coal and information technology.

STOP using futures and pull out of the Middle East, not to mention screw China!

Stop the inflation, YOU stop spending and invest and we can pull ourselves out of this.

The more inflation and more money we make means the dollar bill looses value....the Pound, Euro, Canadian and Australian dollars are all worth more than ours.

"This is too complected, what can I do?" Simply demand your congressman go against the fed. reserve, invest, stop buying crap, and educate yourself.

Looks like we're going to war...again. Recent Pentagon reports say the President has given an "Amber Light" or "go ahead" to an Israeli plan to strike Iranian nuclear targets.

On the part of Israel I say bravo, it's about time they did more than decades of failed diplomacy.

However it also means that we (the US) will be backing it. On one hand I'm ok with it, after all Iran (unlike Iraq) is a real threat. But, I still can't help but think of the other 2 real bullies which are both allied with Iran...Russia and China. All 3 countries could deliver a devastating blow to both the US and Israel.

So once again I'm stuck between "hey they're our enemies so why not" "never throw the first punch" and "we still have no legal right to do so"

Only time will tell, this plus the enhanced search for Bin Laden = round 1 for McCain.

Are you there God?

14:22 Jul 10 2008

As I lay here my body is dying, one by one my nerves are breaking apart and one day I will be no more, my life cut short.

My bank accounts are empty and my bed is cold. So why shouldn't I blame God? Because hate and anger are easy. Anger draws us to our own destruction, in the end no one has led a good life filled with hatred.

As I lay here my body is dying, my eyes grow dim and I struggle to walk. Is it fair that I a good person, a faithful Christian should suffer? Not really but I can struggle on, I can smile in the morning, I can face that which confronts me. I would rather myself be sick then some child who can not cope.

Life is hard and many times it seems like we are all alone. We shout out into the dark sky "God, Abba why won't you help me!? Have I not done your will, have I not followed you? Please I beg you help me, answer me!"

And all to often we hear nothing back.

We think to ourselves how selfish a God this must be, how cruel to let the innocent suffer, how evil to let the world burn. But then we must remember most of our trials are brought on by our own will.

You chose to do drugs, you chose to lie, you chose to be in a gang, you chose to have unprotected sex, you chose to hit her, you chose to turn away from God.

The greatest gift God gave us was the ability to do the right thing. Why should God lift you up when you made yourself low? Why should God speak from the Heavens when you curse him at night? Why should God help you when you won't help yourself?

God is God, the I am that I am, not your maid.

As I lay here my body is dying, what did I do?

I don't know. I have asked myself many times, is it because I'm gay, is it because got mad once or because I did drugs? No, the answer is, without suffering there is no growth.

We are given a path to tread and when we come across trials it is because only we can learn from them. Only I can learn from my pain, using my perspective and then help others.

It is not the will of God that we suffer, it is not his intention we die in pain. Through the fire gold is made. When we have doubts and when we question God it is our continued faith in him that will bring us peace.

The weak will buckle and fall, they will deny God but the strong will continue even unto death.

I think of the story of Job, he lost everything, his family turned on him, he was stricken with disease and yet he did not curse God. He, in his darkest hours, cried out "Abba, Abba. Father, Father, why are YOU doing this?" and God answered, "Who are you!? Where you there when I laid the foundations of the Earth? Where you there when the stars sang together, where you there when I made the wind come from the north!?"

Job repented for his anger and continued to be faithful. Then God returned him his lands, home, family and wealth many times over.

Your thinking to yourself, "yeah right, this is bullshit, just another guy preaching."

As I lay here my body is dying but my mind is strong, my family is healing, my wealth is returning.

We may fall and things may go wrong but I beg you don't turn away just yet, muster your last ounce of strength and cry in to night "Abba, your will be done!" Let the wave crash round about you, let your bright city burn and reach for the hand of God.

God has always been in the same spot, you just forgot how to reach him. Go now and he will hold you. He will keep you from the flames and will bring your soul peace.

Evil will happen, you will see suffering and experience pain but this is life. Look not for today but tomorrow, look for that time beyond this petty world. Do not fall victim to the present for it is fleeting.

OK I've got a bone to pick with some of you (no names). Over the years I have heard people say that scientists and government people are trying to kill minorities or brainwash you or are to blame for the worlds evil, and the same has occurred on here.

Being that I am a scientist and I used to work for the Federal Government I thought I'd set the record straight.

For the past 250 years scientists have worked hard to understand the universe around them and given that many times we are ignorant about what we're doing sometimes things go wrong.

The goal of nearly every guy in a lab coat is to learn, discover truth and make YOUR life better. Even in times of war when we are forced to think about weapons of mass destruction instead of the cure for cancer.

You blame us for the "bomb" and all the lives we killed in Japan. Did you know that the scientists who worked on the "bomb" are responsible for 200 lives each? Well guess what they know they were and if give the chance to do it again they would.

From knowing almost nothing about neutron counts and critical masses and cascade effects those scientists did in 18 MONTHS what it takes nature to do in millions of years.

They built the largest building in the world at the time (Y-12 in Tenn.) made thousands of devices to gather a few specks of uranium a day and then put it all together and split the atom.

Then they went and blew up 2 cities. Why? To save your life, the life of your parents and grandparents and to save the lives of millions of Japanese citizens.

There was no such thing as radar guided missiles or "quick deployments" it was total war. There was no other choice.

People blame us for the food and water, think we made people sick. Well listen up, until the past 50 years most in the food and medical community didn't even think what you ate affected you in the long term. Christ we've only been doing this for a 100 years, the human body is the most complicated thing in the UNIVERSE!

Yes I'm admitting it, we're ignorant, we don't know but damn it with out us you'd all be living in caves. We have saved millions of lives by developing new technologies to make crops grow larger in bad soil, to raise yields so we as a nation can afford to send billions of dollars worth of food over to starving people.

What, you say we should go back to nature? Something like 20% of school kids are allergic to freaggin peanuts! You honestly think mother earth will save you? Most of you can't even walk outside during seasonal changes because of your allergies. Give me a break, by the way it was scientists who gave your allergy medication and saved your sons life from asthma.

"Well what about HIV/AIDS?? I know the government did it to kill blacks and gays." Ha blacks kill themselves with drugs and multiple partners, gays did/do the same thing. In case you forgot the rich white dude also got HIV.

Honestly HIV is too perfect for anything we could even come close to. I fear and respect HIV/AIDS to look at it is almost a religious experience and you think we did it to kill a bunch of naked Africans?

How many BILLIONs of dollars do we spend on finding a cure? How many millions of lives have been extended due to our efforts? Everyone is affected by disease but of course minorities suffer the most. Why? Because many simply don't know good hygiene or safe sex practices others engage in dangerous activities knowing full well the risks and some are truly innocent, but guess what..it's called life!

"The drug industry doesn't care about us, I spent $200 a month on my heart medicine then it gave me a heart attack. "

Did you know that the average new drug cost $1,000,000,000(thats billion with a B) to develop and that it takes 10 YEARS before it can come on to market so we can make it as safe as possible?

If that billion dollar drug was sold for a couple bucks there would be no money to make new drugs.

When you went to get your medication you were handed a piece of paper that TOLD you the risks yet you still took the drug.

Look, we do everything we can to make things safe but in the end we just can't know until it's out there. Thats why we test on animals, millions of human lives have been saved due to our efforts in animal testing.

I get so tired of always being the bad guy or having my colleagues made to look like monsters. Those of you who think bad of us you seriously need to check yourself at the door.

Next time you think we're out to get you remember the computer your using, light bulbs, clothes your wearing, drink you have, car, meds, chair, tv, music even your very life came from the efforts of Scientists and government people.

We do it for YOU! The happiest moments in any scientists life are when he discovers something new and when he finds something that can either save lives or make yours better, everything else is secondary.

How f*ing stupid you must be if you really think we're trying to do something bad.

This is a conversation I had recently with a VR member, it's not as "heady" as the last one I posted but it's interesting. Good general chat on history.

I'm tired so it's from the bottom up :)

No problem I enjoy talking to people about history :)

The main reason is because it was a warrior cult, if I were as I am now but living then it would be difficult for me to grasp such a harsh way of life. I have great respect for the Spartans and in fact without them western culture may never have been allowed to flourish. But Athens is just more my style.

In all honesty if Rome could be rebuilt as an empire I would move my ass to Italy. I still feel a sense of pain when I think about it's end, but all things happen for a reason.

Actually it was the Romans who were able to defeat the Egyptians. An interesting note my ancestors were the last Pharaohs(ruling by blood line), we reigned until a coup happened and Persia invaded. Of course Rome came in and reinstalled Egyptian leadership.

And I think the Egyptian empire was the only the beat the romans in time right??

From what I know it was basically luck or overwhelming force. If the commander was inept or if the enemy had a tactical advantage (the high ground/more people) then they could be crushed, but generally with heavy losses.

There are a number of cases like this but overall the underlying cause was more political will or even stupidity than the troops failing etc.

We actually use similar tactics still to this day, West Point teaches both of them.

Well at the time Greece was getting kinda weak and Persia still wanted to crush them so if Rome hadn't invaded it's possible there would have been 2 superpowers, Rome and Persia and it's possible Greece would be a Muslim nation today.

Actually from the time of Nero onward freedom was destroyed, only at the local level was there some sort of democratic tradition. The world would be without democracy for 1400 years or so, then came the US.

I am somewhat familiar with them.

Okay now I want to dwell in something like another scenario what do you think would have if these things would not have happened???

All so the Romans became a Empire so why do you think the freedom that they had from the Greeks was not destroyed???

Are you familiar with the Greek Phalanx and Roman Legionnaire??

They did but it's sorta like how the US took over the continent.

Greece was very wealthy and controlled a large territory so Rome wanted it. Plus Greece was a military threat. Unlike today cultures would war with each other just because of "presumed" threats.

An interesting note: Since Rome conquered Greece they absorbed Greek mythology, religion and culture. The Visigoths (around 500AD) having sacked Rome then also absorbed both Roman and Greek culture. Then came along the Catholic church and which gave us the world we have today, fully based on Greek ideals...a nice circle :)
